A chemical company primarily produces BDO. The wastewater discharged during the production process contains high concentrations of formaldehyde and refractory organic compound propargyl alcohol.

Step 1: Removal of formaldehyde using Lime polycondensation method.
Step 2: Degradation of most of organic matter using Anaerobic Reactor (EGSB-PLUS).
Step 3: Degradation the last part of organic matter using aerobic microorganisms.
